Brailly Terms of Service

Thank you for exploring Brailly. These Terms summarize the expectations we have for prototype partners, guardians, and educators while we build a joyful braille learning experience.

1. Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Brailly prototype hardware, web application, and associated services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account, booking a demo, or interacting with the Services you agree to these Terms.

Brailly is currently a limited-access prototype. Features may change without notice, and we may suspend or discontinue the Services at any time.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or request a demo on behalf of a learner. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials confidential.

If you represent a school, nonprofit, or company, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of that organization.

3. Acceptable Use

Use the Services only for lawful purposes connected to braille instruction, evaluation, or research.

Do not attempt to reverse engineer hardware or software, interfere with the platform, or access data you do not own or have permission to view.

We may suspend access if activity risks the security, integrity, or availability of the Services.

4. Hardware Prototype

Prototype devices are loaned for evaluation. You agree to follow the provided safety guidelines, avoid disassembly, and return devices on request.

Feedback you share about the prototype may be used to improve Brailly’s hardware and software. We may anonymize and aggregate this feedback.

5. Intellectual Property

Brailly retains all rights to the Services, including software, hardware designs, lesson content, trademarks, and documentation.

You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission, other than limited use required to evaluate the prototype.

6. Data and Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the

Privacy Notice. By using the Services you consent to that data processing.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. BRAILLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Prototype hardware may have known or unknown defects.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brailly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues.

Our aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of €100 or the amounts you paid to Brailly in the 6 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if continued access is impractical due to technical, legal, or security reasons.

10. Updates

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be announced through the dashboard or by email when possible. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
