Brailly Privacy Notice

Your trust matters. This notice explains the limited data we collect while evaluating the Brailly prototype and the safeguards we use to protect it.

1. Scope

This Privacy Notice explains how Brailly collects, uses, and shares personal information when individuals interact with the prototype hardware, the Brailly web app, or related demo programs (collectively, the "Services").

Because Brailly is currently in a pilot phase, data collection is limited and focused on improving the experience for learners, guardians, and educators.

2. Information We Collect

Contact details such as name, email address, and organization when you request a demo or create an account.

Authentication data from sign-in providers (for example, Google profile information) needed to manage your account securely.

Usage metrics generated while exploring lessons, including braille inputs, response timings, and high-level exercise outcomes.

Feedback you choose to share through surveys, calls, or email conversations.

3. How We Use Information

Provide and secure the Services, including account management, authentication, and device pairing.

Deliver prototype demos, coaching insights, and follow-up materials you request.

Analyze aggregated usage patterns to improve lesson design, accessibility, and hardware reliability.

Communicate updates about the pilot program, upcoming releases, or policy changes. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

We may share data with trusted service providers who help us operate the Services (for example, secure hosting, analytics, or support tooling). These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and may only use data on our instructions.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Brailly, our users, or others.

5. Data Retention

Account and usage data are retained while your organization or household participates in the pilot and for a reasonable period afterward to support continuity and compliance.

You may request deletion by contacting us. We will remove or anonymize personal data unless retention is required by law or legitimate business needs (for example, security logs).

6. Security

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encrypted transport, limited access controls, and monitoring of prototype infrastructure.

No system is perfectly secure. Please report suspected vulnerabilities or incidents so we can respond quickly.

7. Children

Brailly works with guardians, educators, and organizations to support child learners. Accounts are held by adults. We process child usage data only under the direction of those adults or institutions and apply additional safeguards where required.

8. International Transfers

Brailly currently operates from the European Union. If we transfer data to other jurisdictions, we use appropriate legal mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Your Choices

You may access, correct, or delete certain information through your account or by contacting us directly.

To exercise privacy rights under EU or other applicable laws, email us and state your request. We will respond in line with regulatory timelines.

10. Updates

We may revise this notice as our Services evolve. Material changes will be communicated through the dashboard or email when feasible. Continued use after updates indicates acceptance of the revised notice.
